Nino Bašić
Nino Bašić completed his studies in pure mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics in Ljubljana. He obtained his undergraduate degree in 2011 and later earned his PhD in 2016. During his academic journey, he spent several months as a visiting researcher at The University of Sheffield. Since 2016, Nino has been employed at the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Information Technologies at the University of Primorska (UP FAMNIT). His research is primarily focused on chemical graph theory, spectral graph theory, and the applications of graph theory in scientific contexts. Nino was involved in the organization of the 8th European Mathematical Congress, a prominent scientific event in Slovenia. Additionally, he participates in scientific committees overseeing informatics competitions for both high school and university students. With his involvement in mentoring and advising (grad and post-grad students) as well as researching and discovering new enterpreneurial possibilites of applied mathematics, Nino is delighted to join the EYE pitch competition board.
